The Ministry of Economic Affairs has made € 100 million in subsidies available for PrintValley in order to strengthen the internationally leading position of the Netherlands in the filed of industrial print technology and application domains. Also, in these times of economic crisis it is the consortium that facilitates better contact and cooperation between Dutch companies.

Joh. Enschedé itself has contributed the business cas 'Printed RFID Security Solutions' and participates in the business case 'Next Gen Screen Security Printing' with a partner.
The research in 'Printed RFID Security Solutions' is aimed at creating one hybrid product that consists of a secure document and a transponder (chip). By adding an extra RFID communication channel to a secure document, new possibilities in security, communication and service aris.
The business case 'Next Gen Screen Security Printing' does research in minimising ink consumption and optimising the life span of priting forms, this in combination with a stable and high-grade result.
